PERFORMANCE - transforming riding characteristics into figures
Our PERFORMANCE test stands measure the riding characteristics of a bicycle or its components and transform them into verifiable figures. Today, measured values such as the head tube stiffness as a measure for the riding characteristics and thus active riding safety are rightly listed in any requirements specification of a bicycle designer just like the fork comfort and the stiffness in the area of a frame's bottom bracket.
The "stiffness-to-weight factor" (STW) implemented in 1994 also upon our influence as a measure of constructive intelligence is today an integral part in the bicycle sector.

SAFETY – testing the operational safety
The SAFETY testing systems simulate the stresses arising during riding in a time lapse and in doing so test the fatigue strength of the bicycle components. This test which is often erroneously described as rupture test is to determine the durability. The tests can be performed according to European standards and individual specifications of the customer. You can chose between single-step and multi-step tests as well as block programs.
Overloads and shock loads as arising due to predictable misuse or riding errors are tested by us on test stands comparable to the crash tests of the automotive industry.

QUALITY – quality assurance, avoiding assembly faults
It is important that components are precise and compatible to make sure that the cyclist has much fun and that the components do not fail. We determine realistic torques on the bicycle component itself and tell on the basis of our experience which combinations must be avoided.

Buying test stands
We also sell PERFORMANCE testing systems for the measurement and the description of the riding dynamics of the bicycle. Our manifold tested bicycle testing systems support our customers during the development of new bicycle frames, forks and components directly on the spot.
Together with our PERFORMANCE testing systems we supply more than 10,000 measured values allowing direct comparisons with the products of competitors.
