Zedler – Technology and Passion for Bicycles

To us, bicycles are not only dear sports and leisure-time equipment, but means of mobility. In the Zedler group passion for bicycles and bicycle technology go hand in glove.

Unfortunately, bicycles are not appreciated as much as they should be because of their potential.

Many people consider bicycles only as bulky waste in front of universities and railway stations or as moving obstacles in road traffic. In our opinion it is time for a change, as bicycles are environmentally friendly, need little parking space only and have a positive impact on health.

Our vision is to enhance the significance of bicycles in society and to place it on the same level with motor vehicles. 

Ingenieur- und Sachverständigenbüro für Fahrradtechnik wants to see to it that the bicycle is taken seriously when it comes to loss adjustment and loss analysis by insurance companies or to court decisions. We want assessments of damage and court decisions to be fair for all parties involved by providing them with substantiated expert’s reports.

And we want to make bicycles safer and more efficient by publishing articles in some of the country’s leading specialist journals. 

Based on the findings of Ingenieur- und Sachverständigenbüro für Fahrradtechnik the main issue of Zedler – Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit GmbH is research and development in cooperation with industry and universities aiming at the development of test criteria and test stands that are ready for use. In our test laboratory we not only test the test stands, but also carry out testing services for the bicycle industry. 

The findings of the expert’s reports and our observation of the legal situtation are incorporated in the user manuals for bicycles and components that are developed for our customers.
