Therefore the training topics consciously included more than technical product training: “Our retailers are fit in technical issues. For this reason we selected further training topics dealing with the improvement of processes and long-term plannings”, says Marco Wolint, Head of Technical Customer Service, who had organized the retailer training and moderated it.
There was a wide range of topics and the speakers were not only from the cycle industry, but also from other fields of business. They were thus able to provide interesting input for the Stevens retailers. Markus Unger, owner of Vit:Bikes in Munic spoke about business motivation and sales training, Dirk Zedler of Zedler-Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit spoke about the demanding attitude of today’s pedelec customers. Thorsten Larschow, Managing Director of Rad & Tour from Cuxhaven and board member of the German service and bicycle association VSF reported about staff acquisition and the certified workshop. Frank Regge of Busch und Mueller gave an overview as to the topic light, for example in consideration of the current German Road Traffic Licensing Regulation.
With regard to the topics going beyond the everyday business organization, Dieter Kannenberg from Flow-Consulting presented guidelines for a long-term business restructuring. Furthermore, he informed about the possibilities of planning the business succession. In this context lawyer Daniel Wuhrmann gave an overview of legal backgrounds in relation to warranty rights and contract law. And Nikolas von Haugwitz of Hanseatischer Wein & Sekt Kontor from Hamburg (Hawesko GmbH) pointed out the chances of digitisation in the retail trade.
In addition the development engineers Thomas Marquardt and Georgios Wenetiadis of Stevens described the development of the PowerTube pedelecs from the first idea to the e-bike in series.
Organiser Marco Wolint showed himself very happy with the event. The attendees also found words of praise. “Great cooperation, informative for all participants. All expectations were fulfilled in the field of business as well as in the field of leisure activities”, commented for example Stevens retailer Ralf Kisskalt from Nuremberg.
