The comprehensibly prepared report offers customers, suppliers, employees and partners of the company transparency in terms of energy efficiency, social commitment and other things summarized under the keywords Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). “The present sustainability report is the beginning of visualising and monitoring our concepts and their realisation in the company in a comprehensible way. There is still a lot to be done for us”, declares Dirk Zedler and adds: “The fact that many sustainable properties are attributed to the bicycle is not enough for us. Our understanding of responsibility goes beyond.”
The report was elaborated by Lea Heinle in cooperation with the managing director. For this purpose, the dual studies student who realises the practical part of her studies at the Zedler-Group regularly records the data of all 70 measuring points installed in the building. The results were presented in a comprehensibly prepared way by staff member and graphic designer Kirsten Kruemmel. All photos were also taken by the employees. According to the company, the report proves on the basis of measured values and key figures that with their climate-positive building and their overall climate-neutral business operations Zedler-Group would already now meet the targets of the Paris Agreement 2015 on climate change for the year 2050.
Recycling management with regard to packaging and commitment to those in need of support has reportedly also been standard in the company’s operations for years. Furthermore, guidelines on waste disposal for better processing and more recycling are currently being developed. Explicit guidelines are now also laid down for the purchase of office and consumable materials as well as cleaning agents. These guidelines are then passed on internally and binding for all employees. “Companies that are customers of our testing services and the technical documentation division or that order expert’s reports can check off their supply chain management in terms of CSR,” promises Lea Heinle.
