The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

Dirk Zedler: Anspruchsdenken bei E-Bikes

Der Sachverständige Dirk Zedler begutachtet normalerweise für Gerichte gebrochene Bauteile. Neuerdings hat er immer öfter mit Bagatellmängeln zu tun – rund ums E-Bike: Unerfüllte Reichweiten-Erwartungen, Geräuschbildung, Ruckeln im Antrieb.

Dahinter steckt für ihn eine gestiegene Anspruchshaltung der Verbraucher, denen die Branche proaktiv begegnen muss. Sie muss das Anglerlatein bei den Reichweiten beenden und realistische Angaben machen. Der Handel muss deutlich kommunizieren, dass Akkus Verschleißteile sind und dass es normal ist, dass die Reichweite im Laufe der Zeit nachlässt. Man muss dem Kunden klarmachen, dass ein Pedelec Service braucht – mindestens einmal im Jahr. Händler müssen sich mit der Bedienungsanleitung auseinandersetzen und mit ihr arbeiten. Reklamationen müssen schneller abgewickelt oder ein Ersatzrad gestellt werden. Die Werkstattannahme muss professionell gestaltet sein unter anderem mit einem PC. Den Standard setzt hier das Autohaus, das selbst für eine Empfangsdame, die dem reklamierenden Kunden nur einen Kaffee bringt, viel aufwendet.
