The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. Günstige Fahrräder im Test

Sicherheitsrisiken durch Montage und Qualitätsmängel

Sind Billigfahrräder ein Sicherheitsrisiko? Das wollen wir in einer Stichprobe überprüfen und nehmen vier Modelle unter die Lupe:

ein Rad der Marke Talson, gekauft bei Real für 165 Euro
ein City-Bike von Decathlon für knapp 200 Euro
ein Rad des Herstellers KS-Cycling, gekauft bei Lidl für 239 Euro
ein Rad vom Otto-Versand reduziert von 349 auf rund 260 Euro

Praxistest Montage

Valerie und Lea testen für uns die Bikes. Doch vorher müssen sie noch montiert werden, das ist aber leichter gesagt als getan.

Rad von Lidl: Es gibt zwar eine Montageanleitung, das benötigte Werkzeug fehlt aber.
Rad von Decathlon: Es fehlt die Montageanleitung und das mitgelieferte Werkzeug taugt nur bedingt. Nur mit Qualitätswerkzeug lässt sich die Schraube lösen, die eine Justierung des Lenkers ermöglicht.
Rad von Real: Es gibt vergleichsweise viel zu montieren, aber auch eine Montageanleitung. Trotzdem bekommt unsere Testerin den Lenker nicht justiert – sie kann die Schraube nicht festgenug anziehen.
Rad von Otto: Das Zusammenbauen des Fahrrads ist kein Problem. Leider findet unsere Testerin aber ein kaputtes Teil: Die Vorderlampe ist an der Halterung abgebrochen – vermutlich beim Transport.
