All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

In our daily work as we deal with bicycle safety, technology and user manuals we come across lots of safety risks. The most frequent ones are published in articles of the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR – Europas Rennrad-Magazin Nr. 1, BIKE – Das Mountainbike Magazin Europas Nr. 1 and E-Bike – Das Pedelec-Magazin to make this information important for the sector accessible to a wider public.

For many years now the Eurobike Show Daily accompanying the annual international Eurobike Show has given us the opportunity to publish our perspective on major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent lectures about all topics relating to bicycle technology and bicycle market. In addition, we are regularly cited by further special-interest magazines or trade journals as well as more and more by radio and television and in their media reports, which shows us that we are completely right with our information. The section NEWS informs you about the latest news from our specialist fields. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to topics of interest.

Another prize for Dirk Zedler

Dirk Zedler’s company Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit GmbH is firmly established in Germany's cycle industry. In these days, the expert was awarded with a regional prize for his long-standing commitment by the German federal state Baden-Wuerttemberg.

The award was presented to Dirk Zedler by Baden-Wuerttemberg’s Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Winfried Hermann.

With the last elections the Green party became part of the government in the south-western federal state Baden-Wuerttemberg. This year, a regional prize seeking "Heroes of the new mobility" was promptly announced for the first time. Among the ten winners who received a record and material prizes from Baden-Wuerttemberg's Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Winfried Hermann, is Dirk Zedler, a well-known name in Germany’s cycle industry. Over the past twenty years Zedler has earned an excellent reputation as expert and independent loss adjustor.

His long-standing commitment to the safety and user friendliness of bicycles and e-bikes is mentioned as justification for Zedler being awarded as "Hero of the new mobility". Dirk Zedler himself reacted to the award with his usual modesty: "The fact that I was elected hero is all the more encouraging as we don’t have a strong public presence with our business fields experts’ reports, testing services and technical documentation." For the founder of the same-named Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit GmbH this is a clear signal that not only the jury, but also the Baden-Wuerttemberg Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure take notice of the bicycle and the e-bike as equal means of transport.
