All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

User manuals for e-bikes from the expert

Electric bikes come along with lots of new technologies and also require from the customer additional knowledge for operation and care. That’s what bicycle expert Dirk Zedler includes in his latest user manuals.

At the Eurobike Show Ingenieur- und Sachverständigenbüro Zedler GmbH introduced their latest complement to their user manual product range. As Zedler writes in the introduction, these new operating instructions for electrically power-assisted bicycles (in Germany: pedelecs) and e-bikes with manual motor control include the knowledge gained during the latest cycle season in the field and fulfil the strict regulations established specifically for the electrically power-assisted bicycles manuals by various international supervisory bodies.

Customization to the brand image

Just like the user manuals for other bicycle types that are already on the market, Zedler offers these directly to dealers and manufacturers as a basic version in small quantities in the common languages German, French, Italian and English. Upon request, they also provide individualized user manuals which are tailored to the brand in terms of contents and photos.  For these user manuals Zedler also offers additional language options: Up to 20 further languages are available which are likely to be combined individually in a single, multi-language user manual.

Wide range

The Zedler user manuals have already proved on the market and were awarded test winner more than once, lastly by the German foundation for comparative product testing (Stiftung Warentest). Besides the elaboration of user manuals for bicycles and bicycle components, the engineers around bicycle expert and managing director Dirk Zedler also develop and build testing systems for the measurement of stiffnesses, for the determination of impact and overload behaviour as well as for performing fatigue tests of bicycle frames and bicycle components. These tests are performed by Zedler by order of bicycle and component manufacturers in the company-own laboratory. If desired, they also build test stands for use in the development departments of these companies.
