All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Business brunch at EDTC: liability pitfalls in the cycle industry

On the occasion of a cost-free business brunch on November 13, fundamental issues relating to liability will be discussed from the point of view of product liability experts and solution approaches with practical examples will be demonstrated. Existing judgements of the cycle industry and other industrial branches will be presented and explained. The event will take place at Sram European Development and Training Center (EDTC) in Schweinfurt. Participation is open to all interested parties from the cycle sector...

The round will be led by Reuschlaw Legal Consultants office and Zedler – Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit GmbH. The law office and the bicycle tester provide assistance for bicycle and component manufacturers in the field of product liability. No matter whether small-sized components shops or large groups operating worldwide, they all launch revised or new models on the market every year. Those who are not familiar with the legal regulations, can fall into nasty pitfalls and loose a lot of time by making up for legal omissions.

Non-observance of legal requirements may lead to recourses in the supply chain, compensation claims and claims for damages as well as measures taken by the authorities, such as prohibition of marketing and recall actions. The insurance coverage is at risk, as well. These risks can never be excluded completely, but you can prepare yourself and reduce the probability that they occur to a minimum. The participation is cost-free. Registration and more information at Reuschlaw attorneys, www.reuschlaw.de, via e-mail info@reuschlaw.de or by phone at +49 (0)681/859160-0.
