All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

The Startup Cycling Pitch 2017 was about ideas and solutions around the bicycle, the winners and the jury.

The best performance was apparently delivered by the Cologne company Chike which obtained the main prize. The two founder teams of Listnride from Berlin and Tubolito from Vienna were both elected second place. The Berlin Startup Fairfoodbike was honoured with a special prize for social commitment. With regard to the audience prize it was actually Chike which obtained the majority of the votes of the more than 100 conference participants at Berlin Pfefferberg. As they had already won the main prize, it was decided to award the audience prize to Trolink which came just behind in second place.

The five startups are winners of extensive fair service packages with a booth at the cycle events as well as extensive counselling services from the bikebrainpool network. The main prize winner obtains an annual Bikebrainpool membership in addition.

The jury was composed of Stephan Geiger (Bike and Outdoor Company), Ursula Kloé (New Mobility Experts), Dirk Kurek (Komenda), Ulrike Saade (Velokonzept), Julia Schäfer (BMVI), Konrad Weyhmann (Paul Lange und Co), Dirk Zedler (Zedler – Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit).

On the occasion of the anniversary campaign “200 years of bicycle – made in Germany” the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) supported the competition to promote innovative business ideas around the bicycle as well as the networking of the cycle industry.
