All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Zedler-Group celebrate topping-out ceremony at new company building

Eleven months after the first ground breaking for the new company building the Zedler team could celebrate the topping-out ceremony. The tailor-made, energy-optimised building is located at a distance of 100 metres only from the current company building in Ludwigsburg. On the occasion of a small party for craftsmen, staff members and business partners, managing director and building contractor, graduate engineer Dirk Zedler expressed his thanks to all parties involved for the great job they had done.

With 1,500 square metres of usable space on three levels, Zedler-Group will be able to work on more than twice as much space as before. The Zedler team actively participated in the planning and realisation of the new building to ensure that the facilities will be fully adapted to the needs. According to the statements in Ludwigsburg, the building reportedly complies with the state-of-the-art resource-saving construction. Due to their own solar collectors and the use of waste heat, it allows Zedler-Group to work nearly independently from external energy sources.

Provided that the inner construction will continue as planned, they will be able to start moving in in June. Subsequently the internal test laboratories and offices will then move step-by-step to the new company location.

The new building accounts for the rapid growth of the company in the past years, explain the bicycle technology experts. “In future, the three business branches testing technology, user manuals and expert reports will have the possibilities to work under ideal conditions for their customers on the well-known, high-quality level”, says Dirk Zedler. In particular the test laboratory will have more and better arranged space. Material tests for bicycle manufacturers and importers as well as for magazines can be conducted there at a higher number and more efficient than at the current location with limited space.

In addition, the building would provide space for seminars with up to 150 participants. Another new thing is the internal collection comprising more than 300 bicycles from the past 200 years.
