All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Zedler "Hero of the new mobility"

The campaign "Neue Mobilität: bewegt nachhaltig" (New mobility: moves sustainably) of the Baden-Wurttemberg Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure awards people who actively co-create sustainable mobility – be it as scientist, bus driver, businessman or in any other function.

With this intention in mind the state award "Heroes of the new mobility" was initiated. From numerous applications and nominations an expert jury elected ten award winners, among them Dirk Zedler, founder and managing director of Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit. According to the jury, the heroic thing about the bicycle tester is his commitment for a worldwide safe use of (electric) bicycles as environmentally friendly means of conveyance.

"The fact that I was elected 'hero' is for me a clear signal that not only the jury, but also the Baden-Wurttemberg Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure take notice of the bicycle and the pedelec as equal means of transport", says Zedler happily. For more than twenty years now Zedler has been acting successfully as bicycle expert. On the basis of this experience the company based in Ludwigsburg develops user manuals for all types of bicycles and bicycle components which are sold in more than 30 languages. The customers are not only from Germany, but also from other European countries as well as from Canada and China.

In another business division, the engineers around bicycle expert Dirk Zedler develop and build testing systems for the measurement of riding characteristics, for the determination of impact and overload behaviour as well as for fatigue tests of bicycle frames and bicycle components.
