The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

Elektrofahrräder im Test: Gefährliche Mängel

Elektrofahrräder, auch E-Bikes oder Pedelecs genannt, werden immer beliebter. Das Fahren ist weniger anstrengend als mit einem herkömmlichen Fahrrad und auch Berge sind für ältere Radfahrer kein Problem mehr. Günstige Pedelecs gibt es bereits für weniger als 1.000 Euro. In einer Stichprobe vergleicht Markt drei Modelle:

Mifa Alu Elektro Pedelec von der Mitteldeutschen Fahrradfabrik, gekauft bei einem Internethändler für 674 Euro
Zündapp Greene 2.0 Alu-City E-Bike, gekauft bei Real für 868 Euro
Fischer City EcoLine, gekauft bei Conrad für 999 Euro

Die Elektroräder prüft Dirk Zedler, Sachverständiger für Fahrradtechnik: Lassen sich die Räder einfach und sicher zusammenbauen? Wie gut funktionieren die Bremsen? Und wie stabil ist der Rahmen?

Fazit: Experte empfiehlt Pedelecs ab 2.000 Euro
Nach Ansicht des Sachverständigen Dirk Zedler haben die getesteten Elektrofahrräder von Mifa, Zündapp und Fischer Sicherheitsmängel, die zu schweren Unfällen führen könnten. Der Experte empfiehlt, beim Fahrradhändler eine Probefahrt mit einem Pedelec ab rund 2.000 Euro zu machen. In dieser Preisklasse könne man gute und sichere Pedelecs bekommen.
