All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

German association Zukunft Fahrrad elects two new members of the board

INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION REPOSITIONS ITSELF

Two new members were recently elected to the board of the industry association Zukunft Fahrrad. They see themselves very well equipped to face the current challenges of the industry and to break new grounds.

With the election of Uwe Huesch from Assona insurances and Mareike Rauchhaus from nextbike to the board of Zukunft Fahrrad, the association has repositioned itself strategically. According to the Berlin-based association, the diversity of the cycle industry is now represented even better than before, not only by the members, but also by the management of the association.

Mareike Rauchhaus has been in charge of communications at Nextbike for almost 15 years and helped build the company from a micromobility pioneer to the market leader in bike sharing. As Managing Director Sales and Marketing Uwe Huesch plays a key role in opening up new business areas and entering new markets.

Chairman Ulrich Prediger, founder of JobRad, was reelected. Dorothee Heine (Two Wheels Good), Dirk Zedler (Zedler institute) and Peter Huerter (Fahrrad XXL) were also confirmed as members of the board. Jakub Kopinski (PuntaVelo) and Oliver Hagen (Lofino) left the board. “Both of them deserve great thanks for their valuable support over the past years. They will remain in close contact to Zukunft Fahrrad,” comments Zukunft Fahrrad.

As regards the new composition of the board, Zukunft Fahrrad Managing Director Wasilis von Rauch states as follows: “The intensive exchange between the board and the team has been a garantor for our success already over the past years. I’m very happy that with the election of Uwe Huesch and Mareike Rauchhaus we have won two persons with huge experience in completely different fields of the sector. This also helps Zukunft Fahrrad to make the cycle industry heard politically in all its facets.”
