All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Grand Prix of Small and Medium Business for Zedler

Ludwigsburg group of companies awarded with one of Germany’s most renowned business prizes

LUDWIGSBURG. Grand Prix of Small and Medium Business 2018 goes to Zedler-Group. The Ludwigsburg company had already been nominated for the fifth time after having been in the final in 2016; all the greater is therefore the joy among staff members and management that they made it this year. The competition is under the patronage of Baden-Wuerttemberg’s Minister for Economic Affairs and Work Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut (CDU).

Zedler-Group specializes in the improvement of bicycle and pedelec safety. They are regarded as driving force of progress in the cycle industry. One main focus of the Ludwigsburg company is on the development and optimisation of bicycle and pedelec test stands and systems. According to Zedler’s statement yesterday, the award was presented to Zedler-Group for an innovative business model and the operations management of strongly increasing the owner’s capital share during an enormous growth while binding the employees for many years at the same time.

“This award is a great gift for our 25th company anniversary and confirms once again our performance”, says managing director and company owner Dirk Zedler. “At the same time it is a motivation to present us with innovative ideas and entrepreneurship in the industry and to continuously further develop our business fields.”

The competition organized by the Oskar-Patzelt-Foundation for Baden-Wuerttemberg, Hesse, Bavaria and Thuringia was under the motto “Shaping the Future”. The award was presented to 14 companies, four of which were from Baden-Wuerttemberg. In the competition which receives national attention companies are not only evaluated under business aspects, their role and their work in society is also rated.

All winners prevailed over 2436 competitors which had been nominated in the four competing regions. All in all 4917 small and medium-sized companies as well as banks and local communities had been nominated nationwide for the competition in 2018.

“Zedler-Institut is possibly the smallest major corporation in the world and has shown a double-digit growth for many years in succession”, says Gunther Jahnke of Jahnke & Hofmann Partnerschaft Steuerberatungsgesellschaft who had nominated Zedler for the prize. It were not only the economic success that characterised the Zedler-Group, it is also their commitment to social and sustainable issues - on a local level as well as worldwide, emphasizes Jahnke. In addition to an educational partnership with three schools in the vicinity, the group had also been donating bicycles for Africa for years.
