All about bicycles, pedelecs, technology and safety in the press

In our daily work as we deal with bicycle safety, technology and user manuals we come across lots of safety risks. The most frequent ones are published in articles of the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR – Europas Rennrad-Magazin Nr. 1, BIKE – Das Mountainbike Magazin Europas Nr. 1 and E-Bike – Das Pedelec-Magazin to make this information important for the sector accessible to a wider public.

For many years now the Eurobike Show Daily accompanying the annual international Eurobike Show has given us the opportunity to publish our perspective on major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent lectures about all topics relating to bicycle technology and bicycle market. Two companies from the district honoured with the Medium-Sized Company Award

Prestigious award for the Ludwigsburg Zedler – Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit and Ensinger-Mineralquellen GmbH from Vaihingen on Enz: Both companies were awarded with the Medium-Sized Company Award LEA.

STUTTGART. The catholic welfare organisation Caritas in Baden-Wuerttemberg and the Ministry of Finance and Economy honoured for the eighth time three companies with their Medium-Sized Company Award LEA. According to Caritas, the non-monetary award for social responsibility in Baden-Wuerttemberg was handed over to representatives of Zedler-Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit (Ludwigsburg), Ensinger Mineral-Heilquellen (Vaihingen-Enz) and Connect Personal-Service (Karlsruhe) yesterday in Stuttgart.

Peter Hofelich, representative of the state government for medium-sized and craft trade emphasized during the award ceremony in Stuttgart, that credible activities in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR) were a key for economic success in future. Vicar general Fridolin Keck as representative of the Archdiocese of Freiburg said that socially committed companies rendered a vital service to community. This year, all in all 258 companies had applied for the prize in three categories. The Medium-Sized Company Award for Social Responsibility is once again the competition with the most participants nationwide awarding the CSR-activities of small and medium-sized companies. Its motto is "Performance – Commitment – Appreciation" (LEA).

The three winners:

Zedler institute: The price for the category up to 20 staff members was awarded to Zedler – Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit GmbH in Ludwigsburg. The company has built up an education partnership with three local schools and furnished a bicycle workshop in each school at their own charge. The objective is to give special care teenagers from a disadvantaged social background insight into promising technologies combined with practical training.
