All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

LUDWIGSBURG. High award for Zedler-Institut: As one of five finalists in Baden-Wuerttemberg the Ludwigsburg company was honoured with the "Grand Prix of Small and Medium Business" of the Oskar-Patzelt-Foundation. In the laudatory speech Zedler-Institut was honoured as driver of progress in the cycle industry: "Since the foundation of the company Zedler-Group has been struggling for the improvements in technology, quality and safety of bicycles and pedelecs." Another point that impressed the organisers in particular was the environmental and social commitment. As examples for this commitment two incentives were emphasized in particular: One of these incentives motivates the employees to use the bicycle for commuting. Another one is a bicycle workshop established and fitted out by Zedler-Institut which is open to pupils and asylum seekers.

Company founder Dirk Zedler says: "The award is a great honour for us as well as a significant recognition of the bicycle. It underlines that Germany’s bicycle industry has gained in importance and no more need to fear comparison with other industrial sectors."

The annual award of the Oskar-Patzelt-Foundation is regarded as one of the most coveted business awards in Germany. In 2016 4796 companies were nominated for the "Grand Prix of Small and Medium Business" in Germany, in Baden-Wuerttemberg alone these were 874 small and medium-sized companies. They have to be nominated by the municipalities, associations, institutions or other companies.
