All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

The winners received congratulations from the executive board members of the Oskar-Patzel-Foundation, Dr. Helfried Schmidt and Petra Tröger. In the laudatory speech Büchel Fahrzeugteile was acknowledged as innovative company that would preserve established products and strive for new developments at the same time: "A company steering its course with strong values, a clear strategy and high flexibility." Another thing that was emphazised was the regional and social commitment in particular in the new Länder of Germany.

Zedler-Institut was praised by the jury as driver of progress in the cycle industry: "Since the foundation of the company Zedler-Group has been struggling for the improvements in the technology, quality and safety of bicycles and pedelecs." Another point that impressed in particular was the environmental and social commitment: Various incentives motivate the employees to use the bicycle for commuting; in addition, Zedler-Institut established a bicycle workshop which is open to pupils and asylum seekers for free.

Zedler: "Cycle industry gains in importance"
Company founder Dirk Zedler is very happy that his company was able to make it through to the final of the economic competition: "The award is a great honour for us as well as a significant recognition of the bicycle. It underlines that Germany’s bicycle industry has gained in importance and no more need to fear comparison with other industrial sectors."The "Grand Prix of Small and Medium Business" not only honours the overall development of the company, but also its efforts to maintain jobs or create new ones, the determination for innovations, modernisations, regional commitment as well as service, customer proximity and marketing competence. The prize is non-monetary and has been awarded since 1994.
