All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Zedler-Institut put into operation third test lab

It was only just a year and a half ago that the test institute Zedler in Ludwigsburg moved into their new innovative energy-efficient building. The company announces now that the third laboratory is being operated by the test engineers since the beginning of this year. It reportedly included the testing systems of the category Safety, for ex. the new pedal and bell testing systems as well as the roller for wheels.

For wheel tests: Test lab with roller-type test stand.

According to the information obtained from Ludwigsburg, these testing systems were complete in-house developments. Their range of functions would, of course, cover the relevant standards, but they would also offer the possibility to perform tests according to the intended purpose of use that may go far beyond the tests specified in the standards. According to the statement, experience had shown that often enough the natures of loss which are known from thousands of analysed failures on the road or in the terrain could only be reproduced with supplementary test procedures.

With the new testing systems the high internal standards of Zedler-Institut, such as constant climatic conditions, high load carrying capacity and vibration reduction of the floor as well as bright radiant LED illumination for crack detection, have now been realised for the rotating tests as well.

In the company own test laboratory in Ludwigsburg quality, stiffness and service strength tests are carried out for customers from all over the world.
