The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

Thema "Gewährleistung"

Biken bedeutet Verschleiß, passieren kann immer etwas. Garantieversprechen wirken beruhigend. Doch ist das Bike einmal Schrott, geht der Ärger oft erst los.

"Beim Thema 'Gewährleistung' wird viel Schindluder getrieben. Auf beiden Seiten."

Dirk Zedler, Gutachter - Ein Ekel erregendes Fell aus Schweißkristallen hat die Rahmenfront überzogen, die Rohre sind vom aggressiven Belag zerfressen. "Das Ding hat einer neun Jahre lang beim Rollefahren vollgeschwitzt und wollte dann Garantie", sagt Dirk Zedler und zeigt zu einem bizarren Stahlkadaver an der Bürowand. Wenn Firmen und Kunden verschiedener Meinung sind, landen die Fälle bei Ihm. "Beim Thema 'Gewährleistung' wird viel Schindluder getrieben, auf beiden Seiten", weiß Zedler. Jeder Fall ist verschieden. Deshalb rät er, alle Unterlagen aufzubewahren und Schadensfälle mit Fotos zu dokumentieren. "Wichtig ist auch die Eigenverantwortung. Wenn ich ein Touren-Bike kaufe, dann sollte ich nicht in den Bikepark gehen. Oder mich andernfalls nicht wundern, wenn ich hinterher auf einem Haufen Schrott sitzen bleibe."
