All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

DVM Bicycle Safety Working Group at Zedler-Institut

“Life Cycle - The Bicycle's Product Life Cycle”, this is the topic of the workshop organised by the Bicycle Safety Working Group of the German Association for Materials Research and Testing (DVM e.V.) on December 3rd and 4th.

Shortly before St Nicholas' Day, long-standing programme committee member Dirk Zedler invites to attend Zedler-Institut’s museum and seminar area in Ludwigsburg. The list of speakers at the two-day workshop consists of experts from research and industry.

The exchange and training format will be completed by a guided tour of Zedler-Institut with its four laboratories.

Not only Dirk Zedler will be giving a presentation on the topic of “Green Deal, Supply Chain Act and more - sustainability in practice with real figures.” Norman Thalheimer, the Head of the Test Laboratory, will also be speaking on the topic of “Inconsistencies in test regulations - the path to better, new standards.” The Head of Quality Assurance at the accredited test laboratory, Philipp Kipker, is also on the list of speakers with a presentation entitled “Child transport/safety in trailers and transportation bikes based on current and new standards in comparison with documented practical experience.”

In their regular workshops since 2008, the Bicycle Safety Working Group offers the opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge on bicycle and electric bicycle testing with a focus on fatigue strength.
