All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Zedler-Institut becomes Company for Climate Protection

During a ceremony at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action on Tuesday of this week, Zedler-Institut was honoured as a new member of the Association of German Companies for Climate Protection (“Klimaschutz-Unternehmen e.V.”). Together with five other companies, managing director and company founder Dirk Zedler received the certificate in Berlin.

The companies were awarded for quick and innovative measures to increase energy efficiency as well as investments in renewable energies, digitalisation and the use of green hydrogen. Creative projects of employee motivation in the field of energy and resource efficiency were also honoured with this award.

In a challenging selection procedure, the company's achievements in climate and environmental protection inside the company were assessed and reviewed by a panel of experts. As a result, Zedler-Institut was admitted as one of the currently 51 members to the network of the nationwide pioneer initiative German Companies for Climate Protection.

Managing director Dirk Zedler states: “The use of bicycles is undoubtedly climate-friendly and healthy. The target of Zedler-Institut is not only to make bicycles and e-bikes more user-friendly, more endurable and thus safer, but also to operate a business that takes as little from nature as possible.”

The Association of German Companies for Climate Protection (Klimaschutz-Unternehmen e.V.) is a cross-sector network of German industry that is committed to achieving Germany's climate policy goals with innovative solutions.

The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) have been awarding companies as Companies for Climate Protection since 2009, thereby honouring their efforts in energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies.

Zedler-Institut offers still more transparency as to the climate protection goals achieved at www.klimaschutz-unternehmen.de.
