All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. Zedler-Institut awarded for Climate Protection

Pioneer of the cycle industry

Zedler-Institut was admitted into the circle of Germany Companies for Climate Protection. The ceremony recently took place at the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

Together with five other companies managing director and company founder Dirk Zedler received the certificate documenting that Zedler-Institut is the first company in the cycle industry to be admitted as new member of the Association of German Companies for Climate Protection (“Klimaschutz‐Unternehmen e.V.”).

The companies were awarded for quick and innovative measures to increase energy efficiency as well as investments in renewable energies, digitalisation and the use of green hydrogen. Creative projects of employee motivation in the field of energy and resource efficiency were also honoured with this award.

The award was preceded by a challenging selection procedure, in which the company's achievements in climate and environmental protection inside the company were assessed and reviewed by a panel of experts. As a result, Zedler‐Institut was admitted as one of the currently 51 members to the network of the nationwide pioneer initiative German Companies for Climate Protection (“Klimaschutz‐Unternehmen e. V.”).

Managing director Dirk Zedler states: “The use of bicycles is undoubtedly climate-friendly and healthy. The target of Zedler-Institut is not only to make bicycles and e-bikes more user-friendly, more endurable and thus safer, but also to operate a business that takes as little from nature as possible.”

Michael Kellner, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action emphasized: “With their commitment in the field of climate protection inside the company, the new climate protection companies make an important contribution to achieving the climate goals. They are therefore models inviting other companies to do the same. The award as Company for Climate Protection recognises their responsible use of energy and resources.”

The Association of German Companies for Climate Protection (Klimaschutz-Unternehmen e.V.) is a cross-sector network of German industry that is committed to achieving Germany's climate policy goals with innovative solutions.
