All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Keeping the future in view: Zedler-Group provides places for dual studies

Right at the beginning of the year, the Zedler-Group welcomed three new students specialising in International Business and Mechanical Engineering. Following brief pre-study internships at the company, they have spent the past few months completing their first theoretical phase at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart (DHBW).

“We invest in young people and are delighted that three more dual students have decided to join our company this year, whom we can now support during their studies and train in practice,” states Annelies Rokitte-Elmering, one of the advisors during the training at the internal getting to know meeting of the apprentices and the students.

Fitting exactly his Bachelor's degree in “Mechanical Engineering - specialising in Design and Development” Bendix Petmecky is completing the practical part in the testing technology team. The enthusiastic gravity mountain biker supports the team of test engineers in the laboratory in the day-to-day business and will then take on tasks in the construction of testing systems in the medium term.

Joudy Arbash also supports the testing services team, of course in the commercial area. Under the direction of Annelies Rokitte-Elmering, she is given an overview of the commercial processes in the test laboratories, from the quotation and incoming orders to the journey of the test pieces to the testing systems, invoicing and return shipment.

The customers of the Technical Documentation department, where Lisa Perikic is starting her theoretical part of the business studies programme, are just as international as the testing customers. In the Tech Docu team, Petra Grunewald gives her an insight into the commercial processing of risk assessments, conformity orders and operating instructions in up to 40 languages.

The three “newcomers” complete the group of dual students in the Zedler team, who are already in the higher semesters of their degree programmes. These include Lars Oefinger, “Industrial Engineering”, Timothy Wieser, “Mechanical Engineering - specialising in Design and Development”, and Phil Schaefer, “Business Administration - Service Management, specialising in Media, Sales and Communication”.

In the GDFS team apprentice Lea Haasper strengthens the administration under the guidance of Timea Markel. The “Office Management Assistant” to be is active in the organisation of experts reports, in accounting and in the preparation of presentations and expert training courses, etc.

The fact that the Zedler Group's investment in apprentices pays off have proven the two bicycle mechanic apprentices Arne Macher and Fynn Heit. Dirk Zedler states: “We are delighted that Arne completed his apprenticeship top of his class and received a commendation along with the apprenticeship completion address. We are also proud that both of them are continuing and completing their further apprenticeship as two-wheeler mechatronic in our company.
