All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Zedler awarded as bicycle friendly employer

Two prizes received at state and national level

Kornwestheim – The Ludwigsburg company "Zedler – Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit" can be pleased about the title as most bicycle friendly employer.

During the award ceremony in Mannheim the company’s managing director Dirk Zedler could receive two prizes from the hands of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Minister of Transport Winfried Hermann:

the 1st place in the regional competion Baden-Wuerttemberg and 2nd place in the federal competition. The competition was organized by the German Environmental Management Association and promoted by the Federal Ministry of Transport as well as by the state Baden-Wuerttemberg. The competition is addressed to employers who provide support in particular to their employees using the bicycle as a means of transport. The infrastructure necessary for this purpose must be made available by the employer, and the mobility with low CO2-emissions must be anchored in the company philosophy.

The company Zedler acting as bicycle experts and loss adjustors was awarded in the category of "5 to 49 employees". Zedler achieved the success in the competition due to the exemplary infrastructure in the company building in Ludwigsburg. The company offers covered and illuminated bicycle stands directly near the entrance, a changing room with lockers and shower facilities, a drying room as well as the possibility to service own or company bicycles under professional guide and to perform repairs. Furthermore, there are company bicycles for short business trips and the possibility of purchasing at reduced prices.

All this could convince the jury, just like the motivation to commute to work by bike which is actively practised by the company management.
