Technical expertise for the Eurobike Award Jury 2024

The presentation of the Eurobike Award is always a special highlight at the bicycle industry’s leading trade fair, where innovative products and projects are honoured. These always set the trend for current developments in the bicycle and mobility industry.

Together with seven other jurors (in alphabetic order): Prof. Dr.- Jörg Hübler, professor for intelligent machine systems, Mittweida University, H. David Koßmann, editor-in-chief of the German magazine Fahrstil, Maike Larschow, sales manager of Rad und Tour Cuxhaven, Daniel Rese, designer and research assistant at the Offenbach Institute for Mobility Design (OIMD) at the Offenbach University of Art and Design, Warren Rossiter, Bikeradar magazine’s senior technical editor, Sabine Spitz, Olympic MTB champion, world champion and multiple German champion and Christian Zanzotti, designer, Zanzotti Industrial Design, distilled the best from around 300 submissions from 35 countries over the course of two intensive days. In the categories of bicycles, e-bikes, light electric vehicles up to 45 km/h, mini electric vehicles, components, accessories, digital solutions, clothing and accessories, mobility solutions and infrastructure, 43 were honoured and 12 submissions received a special award.

The Eurobike Award winners will be announced on July 3rd, 2024, at 5:30 pm.

Success in series on the new triathlon bike

In all three middle-distance triathlon competitions this year, company rider Julian Großkopf not only won his age group ranking with aplomb.

At the Ironman 70.3 Venice-Jesolo he stood on the top of the podium. In the first race with his Merida Time Warp Tri Limited, the aerospace engineering student even left the pros behind in a time of 3:51:54.

(1.9 km swim 26:25 / 90 km bike 2:08:46 / half marathon 1:11:28) Julian was even faster at the neuseenMAN Ferropolis triathlon in Leipzig, finishing 4th in the professional field.

Second place at the Heilbronn triathlon in a time of 3:58:19 also proves that the young athlete's Ironman victory in the Zedler-Institut triathlon suit was not just a flash in the pan.
