Double success in Murr: overall victory and team ranking for the Zedler-Institut

In wintery, muddy conditions on the challenging course (5 km run – 15 km MTB – 4 km cross-country run), our colleagues Julian Großkopf and Philipp Kipker showed that engineers are not only masters of precision in the laboratory, but also of endurance and team spirit in the field!

In the team competition, Julian and Philipp prevailed against around 250 starters and brought home

the victory.

Julian Großkopf also impressed in the individual race, winning overall for the third time in a row. On the new, even more demanding course, he started the first run at full throttle, extended his lead on the bike and was even able to enjoy the final cross-country run despite the high pace.

Congratulations to our two quality specialists on this strong performance on a challenging course!

Hurry out of 2025, quickly into the new year

© Valencia Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich

In recent months, our colleague Julian Großkopf has delivered impressive performances not only in the laboratory, but also on the running track: the professional triathlete has achieved victories, excellent rankings and fast times in several high-profile running competitions.

It all started with the Munich Half Marathon on 12 October 2025, where Julian took third place with a new personal best of 1:05:34 hours. Just one week later, he achieved his next success: at the Bottwartal Half Marathon, he confidently took

first place in 1:05:49 hours.

Julian also demonstrated his class over shorter distances. At the Nussdorf Panorama Run over 10 kilometres, he secured first place with a new course record of 31:12 minutes.

A special highlight followed at the beginning of December at the Valencia Marathon: with a time of 2:18:33 hours, Julian finished in 120th place (meaning 17th place in the German rankings in 2025). He thus beat the fastest marathon time ever run by a German triathlete – a mark previously set by Olympic participant Steffen Justus (former German triathlete) had set in 2009 with a time of 2:18:44 hours.

The sporting year ended with the highly competitive Bietigheim New Year's Eve Run, where Julian finished 6th overall in 31:53 minutes over 10.5 kilometres.

We congratulate him on these achievements – and are excited to see what the coming season has in store.

76,541 kg of CO₂ offset – your new trees in Saxony-Anhalt

© Pfitzer GmbH
In 2025, 369 trees were planted to offset the CO₂ emissions of all bicycle operating manuals commissioned by us. We have now received the KLIMAPRINT certificate for these new plantings in the growing forest of the climate protection project in the Saxony-Anhalt state forest area.

For several years now, we have not only been working in a certified climate-neutral manner at the Zedler-Institut site, but have also been offsetting the CO₂ emissions generated by transport, printing

and logging. With over 7,300 trees since 2022, we are actively helping to convert the emissions from printing, manufacturing and transporting our printed customer manuals into biomass.

What is particularly important to us is that by reforesting directly in Germany, we are making a tangible contribution to climate protection and actively protecting our homeland.

Sustainability begins on our own doorstep – we are proud that we save kilograms of CO₂ with every tree.

Working together for more cycling culture in Baden-Wuerttemberg

© Zedler-Institut in collaboration with RadKULTUR BW

It was both a pleasure and an honour for the Zedler-Institut to present its contribution to cycling on Instagram as part of the RadKULTUR BW initiative!

even more attractive.

This is a great opportunity for us: we can show how much sustainable mobility means to us – and at the same time become part of a movement that is making Baden-Wuerttemberg more cycle-friendly.

We would like to thank RadKULTUR BW for this wonderful opportunity and look forward to further joint campaigns!
