All about bicycles, electric-assisted bikes, technology and safety in the press

The most common safety risks that we come across in our daily work around bicycle safety, technology and operating instructions are also published by us in articles in the leading German special-interest magazines TOUR (Europe's road bike magazine no. 1), BIKE (Europe's mountain bike magazine no. 1), MYBIKE and EMTB in order to make this information, which is important for the industry, available to a wider public.

For many years now, the Eurobike Show Daily, trade fair magazine of the annual Eurobike Show, has also given us the opportunity to publish our view of major developments in the cycle industry in full-page articles.

We also speak regularly in independent expert presentations about all areas of bicycle technology and the bicycle market. In addition, we are quoted by further special-interest magazines of the industry and the trade as well as increasingly by radio and television in their media reports, which shows us that we are spot on with our advice. The section "News" informs you about the latest news from our specialist areas. The reports and publications of this section are listed chronologically or according to areas of interest.

Zedler-Institut provides training on product safety, liability and CE marking

Avoiding trouble with market and trade supervisory authorities: This is the aim of the long-established basic workshop organised by Zedler-Institut. There are still two new dates this year for manufacturers of bicycles, e-bikes, e-MTBs and e-transportation bikes.

Dirk Zedler explains at the test stand

The workshop is aimed at decision-makers and staff members from product development, product management, service and quality assurance. It provides essential background knowledge and the practice-approved methods for placing bicycles, e-bikes, e-MTBs and e-cargo bikes on the market. The topics of conformity with directives, laws and standards as well as the path to CE marking are dealt with in detail by the experts of Zedler-Institut. In addition, the position of the respective companies is determined and first concrete steps are taken together.

Founder and managing director Dirk Zedler explains: After another challenging bike season for the industry with often negative headlines about the transportation bikes that are so important for the mobility transition, I recommend that all manufacturers get fit in the field of product safety and CE marking. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of end consumers and that our participants are prepared for a possible investigation by the market surveillance authorities.”

Two dates

The workshop is held at the company headquarters in Ludwigsburg. The following dates are scheduled:
Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 and Tuesday, December 17th, 2024.

Register for the workshops via the Zedler-Institut webshop.
Further information and dates are available on the Zedler-Group website.
